Ukraine - President instructs Prime Minister to provide introduction of 112 Emergency Service
President of Ukraine Viktor Yanukovych has instructed Prime Minister of Ukraine Mykola Azarov to provide for introduction of the system of emergency assistance to citizens with a single telephone number "112".
"System 112" will focus on the functions previously performed by emergency response services "101", "102", "103", "104" ...
Thus, after its introduction, “System 112” will be a national analogue to the famous American national rescue service "911 ". Aside of many advantages, such as the possibility of more effective coordination between the emergency services, it will be convenient for common citizens. In order to get a prompt and professional assistance they will need to remember and dial only one phone number – "112".
